Review the Available Shadow Dates calendar below before completing your application. Each calendar listing will identify the clinical location and the number of remaining shadow spots for that date.

BHEI accommodates up to four student shadows per clinic day. This means you may participate alongside up to three other BHEI students during your shadow experience.

Availability may appear as:

4 of 4 Spots Available — No spaces have been reserved
3 of 4 Spots Available — Three spaces remain
2 of 4 Spots Available — Two spaces remain
1 of 4 Spots Available — One space remains
FULL — No additional applications are being accepted for that date

After reviewing the calendar, choose your preferred dates on the application form.

Applicants should provide at least two preferred available dates to allow for scheduling flexibility. Students planning to complete the full BHEI 5-Day Shadow Program may request all five shadow dates on their application.

Your five days do not need to be consecutive and may be divided between the Plantation and Wellington locations.

Please select only dates you are genuinely available to attend.

Complete the application with your contact information, academic information, healthcare career interests, preferred office location(s), requested shadow dates, and required student documentation.

BHEI shadowing availability operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Available spots may be requested by other applicants while your application is being completed or reviewed. For this reason, students are strongly encouraged to provide multiple preferred dates whenever possible.

Before submitting, double-check that your selected dates correspond with the availability currently shown on the calendar.

Please note: Selecting an available date on the application does not reserve that spot. A shadowing date is considered reserved only after it has been reviewed and confirmed by BHEI.

If your application and shadow dates are approved, you CONFIRMATION will be sent to you via email.

Please note, Availability may change while applications are being reviewed.

Submitting an application and selecting preferred dates does not automatically reserve those shadowing dates.

**If the dates you have selected are no longer available, we will reach out to you with some other available dates to accommodate you.

***Once your application and requested dates have been reviewed, the BHEI Program Coordinator will confirm your approved shadow date(s) by email.

Your confirmation will include the clinic location, arrival time, attire requirements, preparation instructions, and other important information for your experience.
